Waxing With Duct Tape? Please tell me whats really wrong with it?

i am GUNNA wax with duct tape and i know it is a terrible idea already so please dont state the obvious! but what does it really do. please please please dont say it wont get all the hair or just get a waxing kit but it wont actually cause me any permanent damage right! so if all it does is cause irritaion i can just sooth it with some lotion and ill be fine right?????
