I'm looking for a product I'm not sure is on the market...?

I'm going to college soon, and I was looking for a sort of digital tablet. I've looked up digital notepads, but are there paperless versions as well? I know there are tablet PCs, but they don't seem to be very affordable and not ideal for note-taking. I've seen the Boogie Board LCD tablet. That's the concept I'm looking for, but with the capability to save the notes/images/etc. Can anyone help me find this dream product?
