Should I Get A Foamie Surfboard?

I'm a beginner and i was thinking about buying a Foamie surfboard? is it worth it? I just want it to learn on and practice more on and then after i get down my basics rally well i'll get a better board. also how long will it last if i use 1 or 2 times a week in small waves? Also whats a foamie board made out of is it just like an oversized boogie board? or more stable and durable?
