Why would a girl say this?

There is this I kinda like but never made any sort of indication that I did. She was talking to a girl and I was sitting near then and she said "well my boyfriend can help me with this" but was looking directly at me.She made long eye contact with me when she said it. Why??? this is the only time she has mentioned she has a boyfriend to anyone in the class and never mentioned him before. she said it like she was talking about someone else. she was refering to him but made it a point that i know she has a boyfriend or something. why??
